Torrential rains have caused flash flooding in neighborhoods around Houston, leaving homes and roads engulfed in murky waters. Emergency crews have already rescued more than 400 individuals from rooftops and vehicles.
Heavy rains are exacerbating existing floods, especially in low-lying areas near rivers and reservoirs. Roads are being affected, with closures and delays due to water accumulation on roadways.

The situation is dire, with wide areas affected from Houston to rural East Texas. Rescue teams, including game wardens, are utilizing special boats to save pets and any remaining individuals who couldn't evacuate in time.
A flood alert has been issued and will remain in effect until Sunday afternoon, as more rainfall is forecasted for Saturday night and worsening flooding is expected. Residents are preparing for the worst as they watch helplessly while waters continue to rise. Nearby businesses are also beginning to flood.
We urge everyone to stay informed, follow instructions from local authorities, and be prepared to evacuate if necessary. Our thoughts are with all those affected by these floods.
Please, stay safe!
